Despite all the information we have provided
to prove the opposite, the Tulsa World still
characterizes us as ignorant and bigoted NIMBYs
(“Not In My Back Yard”) who oppose this project
because we hate and fear the mentally ill and don’t understand that there are projects like this all over
Tulsa — which is, of course, not true. We must work even harder to make it clear that we oppose this
project because it came about as an abuse of power and thus cannot be trusted to operate within the
best interests of the surrounding neighborhoods. If you agree that the real NIMBYs are the Mayor and
downtown’s philanthropic supporters who insist that downtown can’t thrive unless the homeless are
swept from the streets, please contact these people and make your views known.
